Upon returning to Knoxville, TN the next day we picked up the motorhome, and brought it home for packing.  We packed the motorhome some on Friday and all day Saturday, while watching football games.  Sunday we left for Rocky Top Campground (http://rockytopcampground.com/) .  It is actually 116 miles from home near Bristol, VA.

Our purpose was to relax and check out the area.  In checking the area we saw many beautiful leaf scenes at the Patrick Henry Dam.  We visited the Bristol Motor Speed Way.

During our campground stay we met several fellow RVers.  One couple going to West Virginia to go ATVing.  Seems like they were having a gathering for all ATVers to come.  Another couple were full timers using the area to fly out to business meetings.  We got some leads  on RV things that they used such as WIFI and water filtration.  Another couple was from the Florida Everglades.  The man had a heart attack after a bike ride.  He had a stint and is back in the campground recuperating.  So to say the least we met several nice people in the campground.  The owner of the campground was very helpful to all.

We visited Jonesborough, TN, Greeneville, TN, Kingsport, TN and Bristol, VA.  Jonesborough is the oldest TN city.  There is a lot of history here about the Cherokee Indians and settlers.

These pictures are from the Davy Crockett birth place.  This a state park with swimming pool, river, and camp ground.  The camp ground was closed.

10/3-6/2013 Chattanooga, TN

We traveled to Chattanooga, TN to stay in Best Holiday Trav-L-Park, Chattanooga, TN.  This was a nice campground, but busy.  We relaxed in our motorhome, watched TN and Georgia football game, and looked around town.  We returned to Knoxville, TN in time for doctor and other appointments this week.

10/1-3/2013 Tuscumbia, AL

We left Baldwyn, MS to travel less than 100 miles up the Natchez Trace.  We stayed at   Heritage Acres RV Park, Tuscumbia, Alabama.  During our stay we visited Tom Hendrix stone wall memorial, Helen Keller's birth home, and walked a nature trail.  It was a nice location to visit again.

9/27/2013 - 10/1/2013 Baldwin, MS

We traveled to Baldwyn Truck and Trailer Repairs in one day from our Knoxville, TN home.  It was a longer trip in a day than previous trips, but we needed to be in Baldwyn, MS on Friday.  We parked in the back of the company for 4 days without any services.  This is called boon docking.  We visited Mary and Jeff Mathis during this time.  Debbie Keenan joined us Saturday and stayed in out motorhome until we left.  We played games at night and grilled out.

Sept 30 Brenda, Debbie and Robert visited cousin Shirley Bonds in Van Fleet, MS.  She showed us the old farm and cabin that they had built for their family and friends.  Cousin Skeeter Akinson visited also.  We returned to Baldwyn via Okalona, MS.  This is the town Robert & Brenda lived when 8 & 9 years old with our grandmother and mother.

9/13-20/2013 Ashville, SC

We stayed at Lakewood RV Resort, Hendersonville, NC.  During this time we visited Hendersonville, Mt Mitchell, and Blue Ridge Parkway.  Mt Mitchel was mostly in the clouds.  Donna Colton visited for 3 days.  James and Linda Clark visited for a day.  We returned home for doctor visits.

9/5-12/2013 Anderson, SC

We traveled to Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins, Townville, South Carolina.  We visited with Linda & James Clark for the week.

8/29/2013 Arrival at Home

Our second day we arrived home.  Jason Cioci helped drive the motorhome to Knoxville.  His job was to make Robert smarter driving a large vehicle.  He was a great help to us getting home safely.  Jeff, Rhonda, Ben and Lauren met us at the house as we arrived.

8/27-28/2013 Motor Home Pickup

Brenda, Jason and I picked up our first motorhome at RV One in Orlando, Fl Aug 27, 2013.  We got a 2014 Entegra Anthem RBQ which can be looked at www.entegracoach.com  It was a bad experience on pick up including burning out our Honda Mini Van brakes.  A faulty install for the tow vehicle cost us a second day for repairs by RV One.  All was fixed with no cost to us.
Our first night after picking up the RV was spent at Wackiva RV Park.  The next day we spent at Automotive One getting our brakes fixed.  As we were leaving at 8:00 pm it was determined the coach air actuating brakes were connected to the wrong coach system.  This was fixed and we left at 9:00 pm.  We drove to a Wal-mart on I-10 on our way home towards Knoxville, TN.  Jason had to catch a flight Sunday back home from Knoxville.
