8/12/2014 - 8/16/2014 Quechee Gorge and Cooperstown

On August 12 we left New Hampshire headed for Vermont.  We traveled very close to the Canadian border and realized that we did not want to be lost here.  Nothing like finding yourself in another country and can not get back.

Our next stop was Quechee/ Pine Valley KOA.  http://koa.com/campgrounds/quechee/  It was one of the nicer KOA's we had stayed at.  We arrived early on our first day.  Rain was espected over the next several days.  So we explored the area quickly after arrival.  The Quechee Gorge is below.  Our other day was in rain.

On August 14 we went to another KOA http://koa.com/campgrounds/cooperstown/
It was another good campground. The weather had cooled following the rains in the area.  We went to Cooperstown, NY to see the Baseball Hall of Fame.

We have many more pictures, but took just a few to show.  The Hall of Fame included present, Negro, and Women leagues.  It showed a history from early 1800 to present.  When we visited Gettysburg we had heard reference to the founder of baseball being a general there.  Sure enough there were pictures of soldiers playing baseball in their off times.  Cooperstown is not a big city, but more a rural town.
